Before I wrote code or coached designers, I was writing music.
I studied music composition and flute through grad school, and for years I dreamed of being a film composer. Music gave me an early blueprint for design—structure, flow, emotion, and story. It taught me how to move people through an experience with intention.
That way of thinking never left me. It just shifted from sound to systems.
I’ve spent decades designing websites, interfaces, and experiences—and now, I spend most of my time coaching designers to think strategically, lead boldly, and advocate for real users.
